Evening,
and morning, and at noon, will I pray,
and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.

What Makes
A Mother
|
I
thought of you and closed my eyes; and prayed to God today I
asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard him say.. A
Mother has a baby, this we know is true. But God can you be
a Mother, when your baby's not with you?
Yes
you can, he replied with confidence in his voice I give many
women babies, when they leave is not their choice. Some I
send for a lifetime; and others for a day And some I send to
feel your womb, but there's no need to stay.
I
just don't understand this God, I want my baby here He took
a breath and cleared his throat; and then I saw a tear. I
wish I could show you, what your child is doing today If you
could see your child smile with other kids and say "We
go to earth to learn our lessons of Love and Life and Fear,
My Mommy Loved me oh so much, I got to come straight here..
I
feel so lucky to have a Mom, who had so much love for me I
learned my lesson very quickly, My mommy set me free. I miss
my Mommy oh so much but I visit her each day when she goes
to sleep, on her pillow's where I lay.
I
stroke her hair and kiss her cheek; and whisper in her ear
Mommy don't be sad today, I'm your baby and I'm here."
So you see my dear sweet one, your children are okay Your
babies are here in my home; And this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with me, until your lesson is through
And on the day that you come home; they'll be at the gates
for you.
So,
now you see what makes a Mother, it's the feeling in your
heart It's the Love you had so much of; right from the very
start.

Prayer For The Helpless Unborn
Heavenly
Father,
In Your love for us, protect against the
wickedness of the devil, those helpless little
ones to whom You have given the gift of life.
Touch
with pity the hearts of those women
with child in our world today who are not
thinking of motherhood.
Help
them to see that the child they carry
is made in Your image -as well as theirs-
made for eternal life.
Dispel
their fears and selfishness and give
them true womanly hearts to love their babies
and give them birth and all the needed care
that a mother along can give.
We
ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and
the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

ABORTION'S REMORSE
My
little baby's gone from me
The cost is greater, for you see
The choice was mine to see it through
And now there's nothing I can do.
When
I remember 'bout my choice
My conscience didn't raise it's voice
I somehow didn't realize then
Although I do now,'gain and 'gain.
A
little life? they said to me
What nonsense! let us make you see
It's not a living babe at all
Just a blob, clinging to a wall.
They
didn't 'splain much more to me
I cared not how the thing would be
For in my mind was peace and rest
I thought my life would now be blest.
How
little did I realize then
It's never be the same again
The choice I made for 'ere that day
Would never ever go away.
It's
not a piece of tissue there
It's living, don't you dare to care
About God's greatest gift to you
To live with you this whole life through?
The
little one I long to hold
Has long been torn from it's abode
I'll never be the same again
Nothing now will quench my yen.
So
please, dear one, before you take
A life that could be yours to make
Consider what the Bible states
And make your choice for Life, that rates!

Our Unseen Children
Just
open your eyes and see
what damage we have done,
thousands of precious children have died;
thousands... not only one.
How
can we take their rights
when they haven't even a voice,
and look at ourselves honestly,
calling it a personal choice?
She
could have been a nurse,
he could have been a star,
he could have been an astronaut
to first step foot on Mars.
We
have to stop abortion;
we can make a difference I know,
let's all pitch in and help;
surely someday, our work will show.
Just
open your eyes and see
what damage we have done.
we have to stop abortion,
please help... you be the one.

Twelve-year-old Jessica
wrote this poem as an entry in the
National PTA's Reflection program. The theme for
the 1995-96
was "Open your eyes and see." Though she did not
place, we feel
her poem is one of the best we have read. Thank you,
Jessica, for
being there for the babies.
