PRO LIFE PRAYER CALENDAR
Special Pro Life prayers and requests to offer up to God.
Please continue to pray for these special requests each day of the month.
Day 1
Praise God for the gift of your life and for His plan for your life since before you were born. "You created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.... My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place... your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139:13-16. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Jeremiah 1:5.
Day 2
Pray for the preborn babies in your community who are in danger of being aborted this month. "This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hands of the oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place." Jeremiah 22:3.
Day 3
Pray for pregnant women in your community that their needs will be met and that they will have the wisdom to choose life. "I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." Deuteronomy 30:19b.
Day 4
Pray for your church's effort to restore the right to life and for your pastor and church leaders. "I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.... if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself." Ezekiel 3:17, 19.
Day 5
Pray for abortionists that they will come under conviction of their sin and be saved to take lives no more. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9.
Day 6
Pray for the closing of the abortion centers in your community and nationwide. "Arise LORD! Lift up your hand O God. Do not forget the helpless... The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out... You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted... defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more." Psalm 10:12-18
Day 7
Pray for those in groups like Planned Parenthood that promote abortion. "Do not... encroach on fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong. He will take up their case against you." Proverbs 23:10-11
Day 8
Pray for strength to speak out about abortion. "You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world." Matthew 5:13-14
Day 9
Pray for Christians in government that they will speak in defense of the defenseless. "Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance... will arise from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?" Esther 4:13-14
Day 10
Pray for the President and Vice-President "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." ! Timothy 2:1-2
Day 11
Pray for the Supreme Court, that they will seek the LORD'S wisdom and submit to His authority. "For there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." Romans 13:1b It is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the innocent of justice." Proverbs 18:5
Day 12
Pray for your Congressman, Senators, and all of Congress. "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan." Proverbs 29:2
Day 13
Pray for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and the state legislature. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD." Psalm 33:12a
Day 14
Pray for a nationwide revival and forgiveness of our land for acceptance of abortions. "Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD." Lamentation 3:40. "Righteous exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." Proverbs 14:34. "Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent--the LORD detests them both." Proverbs 17:15
Day 15
Pray for those who have "burned out" and left the battle to defend the right to life. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9. "Commit, your way to the LORD, trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." Psalm 37:5-6.
Day 16
Pray for those with serious illness who might be tempted to ask for euthanasia. "I have come that they may have life, and that they have it more abundantly." John 10:10b
Day 17
Pray for couples who cannot have children and long to adopt a child. "In bitterness of soul Hannah wept much and prayed to the LORD. And she made a vow, saying, "O LORD Almighty, IF you will only look upon your servant's misery and remember me and not forget your servant, but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life." 1 Samuel 1:10-11
Day 18
Pray for teens in your church and community that they will live a life of sexual purity, saving sex for marriage. "Flee the evil desire of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace." 2 Timothy 2:22
Day 19
Pray for women who have had abortions to find salvation and emotional restoration. "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more." Matthew 2:18
Day 20
Pray for pro-life crisis pregnancy centers that help women in need choose life. "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Matthew 25:40b.
Day 21
Pray for pro-life organizations that face trials combating the abortion industry each day. "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33b.
Day 22
Pray for the media that their eyes will be opened and they will inform the public truthful on abortion. "A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful." Proverbs 14:25. "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6a
Day 23
Pray for your family that they will live a life pleasing to God and uphold the sanctity of human life. "...then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15
Day 24
Pray for struggling single mothers. "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his hold dwelling." Psalm 68:5
Day 25
Pray for an overturn of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion on demand. "Can a corrupt throne be allied with you--one that brings misery by its decrees? They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the LORD has become my fortress... He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness: The LORD, our God will destroy them." Psalm 94:20:23.
Day 26
Pray for a nationwide return to sexually-moral lifestyles. "do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Galatians 6:7.
Day 27
Pray for Christian doctors that they will expose the truth about abortion. "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the LORD. Live as children of the light. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." Ephesians 5:8,11.
Day 28
Pray for parents grieving over their sons' and daughters' abortion of their grandchildren. "A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother." Proverbs 10:1
Day 29
Pray for women who suffer physical health problems because they had abortions. "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. IF he has sinned, he will be forgiven... The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:15-16.
Day 30
Pray for fathers mourning the death of their aborted children. "The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! IF only I had died instead of you--O Absalom, my son, my son!" 2 Samuel 18:33.
Day 31
Praise God for answering your prayers to save parents and children from abortion! "Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt... you can say to this mountain: Go throw yourself into the sea; and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:21-22.
Please pray following this prayer calendar in the hope that it will bring about the restoration of legal protection and social respect for all innocent human life. You may also wish to pick one or two of the items on the list that are of special importance to you personally or that God lays upon your heart to lift up in especially fervent prayer, and dedicate those days to fasting as well as prayer for the LORD'S intervention.
